While the new France home jersey can be viewed as an iteration of a classic look, the brand new France away jersey is quite a departure from it’s predecessor. Manufactured under a newly signed contract with Nike, the jersey not only looks different on the outside, it also contains up to 94% recycled content.
The main distinguishing feature of the France away jersey are the sixteen horizontal blue stripes set against the white background. Inspired by the traditional look, the jersey will make sure you stand out in a crowd, while the embroidered French Football Federation logo will leave no doubts about your national affiliation. Unlike the home version, the away jersey has a typical crew-style collar, and is accented only by the Nike swoosh, the official team crest, and optional name and number lettering.
The new jersey has already drawn positive remarks from the players. “I’ve already sweated in this shirt, and it felt very comfortable,” said winger Florent Malouda in reference to Nike’s patented DRI FIT fabric. “It’s very different from the old shirt. Now we hope to get the result that comes with it.” Indeed, so do we.
